Wentzville Logistics Center Wins Award from St. Louis Business Journal

During a reception on Wednesday, September 19, the Wentzville Logistics Center was named as a recipient of the 2017 Building St. Louis Award for a public/private project of more than $10 million. Mayor Nick Guccione, Alderman Linda Wright and Economic Development Director Dan Lang accepted the prestigious award.

The 1.1 million-square-foot Wentzville Logistics Center is located on Highway A and is the second largest building in St. Charles County. The facility provides parts and supplies to the nearby General Motors Wentzville Assembly Plant. Opening the facility created 400 net new jobs. The developer of the project was NorthPoint Development of Kansas City.

The St. Louis Business Journal launched its inaugural Building St. Louis Awards this year. The awards seek to recognize commercial real estate projects that have created a community impact in the areas of investment, jobs created or potential impact on a surrounding area. The awards also recognized those involved in projects, including owners, developers, brokers, architects/designers, engineers, contractors and financial lenders. Projects must have been completed, or substantially completed, in 2016.
