Excel Industries Inc. has announced that it will open a facility at Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) in Edgerton. The turf care product manufacturer, which is headquartered in Hesston, plans to create 200 new jobs at LPKC. The company’s new work site will include warehousing and distribution space and eventually manufacture an existing product line.
“We are excited about the possibility of making Kansas City the primary distribution center for our products,” Excel Vice President Bob Mullet said. “It puts us closer to the geographic center of our customers, and the strength of Kansas City as a national distribution point will allow us to serve our dealers in a more timely and cost-efficient manner.”
“Excel has been an outstanding Kansas manufacturer for more than five decades,” Kansas Commerce Deputy Secretary Steve Kelly said. “It’s great to see the company continue to grow at its Hesston location and add a new facility in Edgerton.
