Developer seeks tax break for large warehouse near Harley plant, Route 30

A Kansas City developer proposing a 755,000-square-foot warehouse on a parcel west of the Harley-Davidson plant is seeking a tax break through a tax assistance program.

Brent Miles, vice president of economic development with NorthPoint Development in Kansas City, and Blanda Nace, vice president, community affairs with the York County Economic Alliance, presented the proposal to the Springettsbury Township board of supervisors Thursday evening.

The 58-acre parcel is owned by the York County Industrial Development Authority. It bought the property from Harley-Davidson a few years ago as part of negotiations to keep the motorcycle plant in the county.
