Construction on the first three of five facilities in the Pittsburgh area will begin soon and will be some of the largest in Metro Pittsburgh once complete.

Lebanon will also begin soon. These projects will comprise the first three of five self-storage facilities planned in the Pittsburgh area by NorthPoint Development. The state-of-the-art facilities will be some of the largest in Metro Pittsburgh and will be operated by NorthPoint Development, who launched the Beyond Self Storage brand and a multi-facility development initiative in February 2016.

The Robinson Township facility is conveniently located on Cedar Ridge Drive by I-79 and Route 60 (Steubenville Pike). “Construction started with remediation work to fill an old mine beneath the property, which was a process we hadn’t seen before, but something we were able to work through thanks to the hard work of our team and the previous owner,” said Hagedorn.
Beyond Self Storage at Ross Township is located on Old McKnight Road by the Ross Park Mall, which is off of Route 19 (McKnight Road) and will serve customers north of Pittsburgh. “We know there will be a lot of visibility from passing traffic and, given the close proximity to Ross Park Mall, we expect it to be a convenient location for anyone traveling north or south on McKnight Road,” Hagedorn commented.
The location in Mt. Lebanon is on Castle Shannon Boulevard by the intersection of Mt. Lebanon Boulevard. “There are no self-storage facilities in Mt. Lebanon and the Castle Shannon Boulevard location is superb, so we’re very excited about the potential opportunity to offer a Class A storage option to the local community,” noted Hagedorn, “and, this might be one of our more challenging sites to work with given the severe topographic challenges”.
