Excel Industries Inc., manufacturer of Hustler and Big Dog mowing equipment, signed a lease for roughly half of a large new industrial building in Edgerton’s Logistics Park Kansas City. The company, founded and based in Hesston, Kan., plans to create 200 jobs at the facility.
Exel leased 345,705 square feet in NorthPoint Development’s Inland Park XII facility, at 30801 W. 191st St., according to a release from the Kansas Department of Commerce. In 2013, the department honored Excel with the Governor’s Exporter of the Year award for global expansion that drove the firm’s annual revenue over the $200 million mark.
