Amazon last week said it will take an entire speculatively built warehouse at Logistics Park Kansas City, a development anchored by BNSF Railway’s intermodal facility in Edgerton.
On Tuesday, the industrial park developer, NorthPoint Development, said it is beginning construction on two more speculative buildings in the 1,700-acre development.
NorthPoint announced a 764,785-square-foot building, Inland Port XXXII, and a 927,112-square-foot building, Inland Port XXXIII. The latter facility will be the largest spec building in the park.
The company said it will deliver about 2 million square feet of speculative space this summer, fueled by existing and potential tenant demand. Logistics Park will have about 6.5 million square feet of construction by this fall, the company said.
